John Hyde
Managing Director, NAPL Professional Services Group

A respected graphic communications industry consultant specializing in  a broad range of strategic transactions, John Hyde has nearly 16 years of experience helping owners of printing companies and other graphic communications firms implement successful restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. As Managing Director of NAPL Professional Services Group, Hyde works with client companies and directs NAPL staff and associate consultants in helping owners and managers achieve their business objectives.

A lawyer by background, Hyde joined NAPL in May 2004 as part of the Association’s acquisition of his former consulting firm, Rampart Associates, LLC, Trumbull, Conn., which he founded in 1990. Hyde’s partner in Rampart, Bruce Perlstein, also joined NAPL as a senior consultant.

Holding a BA degree in history from Colgate University and a JD degree from Tulane Law School, Hyde began his career with New York law firm Chadbourne & Parke, where he focused mainly on mergers and acquisitions. He later joined a prominent law firm known for its representation of banks in commercial loan restructuring and refinancing, leaving in 1990 to begin his consulting practice. Although he has not practiced law since becoming a graphic communications industry consultant, Hyde remains a licensed attorney.
